Role purpose

We’re seeking a Social Media and Communications Specialist to join the growing team working across anihana’ s growing community.

We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of all social media platforms, a flair for copywriting and a passion for all things bath and beauty. You’ll ideally have 2+ years social media marketing experience either agency side or in-house, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. 

In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be responsible for community and content management across all of anihana’ s busy and highly engaged social channels. The role will involve content and copy creation across social, digital (blog, EDM, E-comm), PR and customer service functions. Responsibilities will also include assisting the wider marketing team to support broader marketing and PR activities including events and content shoots. 

About you

You have a passion for brands that have a purpose, you use social daily and understand what makes people stop scrolling. You enjoy a fast-paced work environment and take ownership of your work. You love writing, responding to questions and making people laugh.

 Ideally you have:

  • 2+ years agency/brand/freelance experience with social media management
  • Strong copywriting skills, basic design skills, strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other media
  • Ability to tap into moments of trends, passionate about use of highlights, reels, IGTV
  • Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders
  • You must have paid media/advertising experience

 Specifics Duties & Responsibilities

 In a typical week, you will:

  • Monitor all social media channels
  • Create, edit, schedule, and publish content across all platforms
  • Provide insights and reporting of channels performance
  • Copywrite for organic and paid posts
  • Lead social media meetings
  • Stay informed about trends and tools in social media, marketing, technology, and advertising
  • Manage requests and relationships with influencers and media
  • Engage and respond to consumer questions and comments

 Key Responsibilities include:

 Channel management

  • Community management of all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Sharing main channel content across secondary platforms (YouTube, Pinterest, etc.) 
  • Uploading and creating/briefing social content  
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to analyse campaign and BAU activity results.
Content creation
    • Create engaging content for all social media channels
    • Assisting with social content shoots when required 
    • Contributing ideas in team brainstorms 
    • Create and manage a social content calendar

    Copy writing

    • Management of updating anihana’ s blog content 
    • Copywriting for social and digital channels (social captions, banners, EDM)
    • Creation and distribution of EDMs for all projects 

     Community building

    • Assisting with social and influencer send outs when required 
    • Create and drive initiatives to build database numbers
    • Assisting with User Generated Content and influencer content management

     Customer service

    • Management of customer service enquiries over all social media channels
    • Overseeing the customer service inbox and responding to enquiries.

    Relationships

    • Reporting to – Marketing Manager
    • Supporting – Sales and Marketing Team
    • In the family – Customers, Agencies, Creative team (Double Lux)

    Location

    • Flexible work from home – 2 days a week if required
    • 40 hours a week
    • Requires travel to third party agencies and manufacturers when required
    • Some out of hours community management may be required (eg events)
